SUZANNE BOOS
Suzanne Boos
Suzanne is a graduate of Ohio University, who did her dietetic internship at Barnes
Hospital (Washington University) in St Louis.  She has worked in various areas of
dietetics for 40+ years and has been on the
CNC staff since 1988.  She has special
interest in metabolic syndrome and gerontology.  She is a strong advocate of
moderation and promotes healthy eating and exercise for optimal wellness.

She is a recent stage III breast cancer survivor.  While in treatment for her illness,
she continued her
CNC employment with the strong support of family, friends,
and, yes, her patients—all of whom helped to provide encouragement and support.

She continues to be an active participant in the Summit Cancer Exercise and
Wellness Program, working-out at the gym regularly.  Her goal is to be stronger
and better through whatever challenges that life presents.

Suzanne is a consultant dietitian for Vista Care Hospice, where she provides end of
life support to dying patients and their families.  She is married to a Lutheran
minister who is also a clinical psychologist.  She is the mother of three grown
daughters, and four growing granddaughters—all of whom reside in the Denver
area!

MARY ELLEN
DOUKAKIS
Mary Ellen Doukakis
Mary Ellen Doukakis is a Registered Dietitian with 28 years of experience and has
been a member of the
CNC staff since 1996.  She graduated from the University of
Northern Colorado with a BS in Dietetics and Assistant Food Services Director.  Her
most recent position, as a Dietitian at the
Clinical Nutrition Center, has been the most
rewarding of her career.  It has allowed her to help and improve the health of patients
with weight loss, sports nutrition, diabetes, elevated cholesterol and eating disorders.  
Her other related experiences over the years include consulting with patients in
various Doctors offices, and teaching classes for the
American Heart Association,
Porters Hospital and Great West.

Her hobbies include biking, racquetball, and most outdoor activities.

TANJA BUGAS
Tanja Bugas
Tanja received her undergraduate degree in dietetics and nutrition education from
Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in nutrition
from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  She completed a
dietetic internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland.

Tanja has 29 years experience as a Registered Dietitian, including counseling at
CNC since 1985.  She is a practicing vegetarian who enjoys working with all types
of
vegetarian diets and welcomes the opportunity to discuss vegetarian and
semi-vegetarian eating styles.  In addition, Tanja has a special area of interest in
using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Away from the office, Tanja enjoys snorkeling, sailing, and making jewelry.  She
is married, and has one child.

Liz Hurst
Liz has been with CNC since 2000.  She is a graduate of Colorado State
University with a BS degree in Food Science and Nutrition.  She worked as a
Clinical Dietitian at Denver Presbyterian Hospital (now P/SL) for 6 years in a
variety of patient care units.  After that, her work experiences include nutrition
consulting at Denver area internal medicine and cardiology groups, primarily in
the areas of diabetes, heart disease risk reduction and weight management.  She
also taught classes for the American Heart Association and worked with
childhood diabetes.  Liz is a
Certified Diabetes Educator.

In her spare time, Liz spends time with her husband, two teenagers and a variety
of pets.  She enjoys skiing, running, golfing, riding her horse, wind surfing and
traveling.

LISA ININNS
Lisa Ininns
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle with a BS in clinical
dietetics. She has worked in various areas of dietetics over the past 20 years,
and is also a
Certified Diabetes Educator.

The first several years of her career she served as an officer in the US Navy as
a Registered Dietitian.  She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings
including:  rehabilitation hospitals, health and wellness clinics, community
hospitals and teaching hospitals in Washington D.C. and San Diego, California.

She has extensive experience with oncology, diabetes, cardiac, weight control,
and sports medicine patients.  She has a special interest in weight management,
lifestyle education, and exercise.

Lisa and her husband have three children ages 10, 13 and 16.  Her hobbies
include skiing, swimming, running, biking, and camping with her family.  She
has participated in Danskin triathlons and numerous 5 and 10 K races
throughout the US.  She joined the
CNC staff in 2005 and loves working with
our patients.

SUSAN ELLIS
Susan Ellis
Susan is a graduate from California Polytechnic University and
interned at the City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, California.  
She has been a dietitian since 1996 with a special interest in
nutrition support, diabetes, and weight management.

Prior to joining
CNC in 2006, Susan was a nutrition consultant
counseling patients one-on-one in weight management, diabetes,
high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease.  She also worked in
family practice, taught classes for the
Colorado Weigh Weight
Management program, was a healthy coach for a high-tech
weight management study, and speaker for nutrition
presentations.  She joined the staff at
CNC in 2006.  Her passion
is educating people in eating healthy and living actively.

As a busy mom of two girls, ages 4 and 6, Susan enjoys
spending time with her family.  She and her husband have a
mini-gym in their basement where they work out most mornings
together.  In her free time Susan likes to walk, hike, camp, bike,
and scrapbook.

Tracy Boykin
Tracy has been with CNC since 1991.She graduated from New Mexico State
University in 1982, interned at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO., and worked for
Hale's Olympic Home Health Care in Washington state, as well as Great Lakes Sports
Medicine,  Holland Community Hospital and Grand Valley State University in
Michigan.  She was Assistant Director of Nutrition Services at The Villas at Sunny
Acres in Thornton before coming to
CNC.

Tracy currently focuses her ADA practice group participation  in  the Weight
Management and Vegetarian Dietetics practice groups..  She was a member of  the
Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists for 26 years, and of the Dietitians in
Integrative and Functional medicine for two years.  She is occasionally asked to speak
on nutrition to non-profit groups.

“I particularly enjoy helping busy persons incorporate more  physical activity into their
lives and love problem-solving sticky issues.  Working with clients at
CNC continues
to be a great source of joy and satisfaction for me.  It is so wonderful to see people
succeed in bettering their health and their lives. Our clients are simply wonderful
people!”

Tracy digs gardening, hiking, dancing, and climbing 14-ers with her husband Mark
and their collie, Simon.  She loves   reading (when there's time!), and running.  She
plays French horn in an orchestra, sings with a choir  and acts in melodramatic
comedies. Tracy has two wonderful adult children. She and Mark live in Denver.
