Ethan Lazarus, MD
CNC Physician:
I began my career in Family Medicine at a full service family practice clinic in
Southwest Littleton. My special interest in helping patients treat and prevent
diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease resulted in
many consultations and referrals to CNC founder, Dr. Berry. I joined the CNC staff
in late 2003.
Since that time, I have focused solely on weight-related medicine. My area of
expertise is now medically supervised weight loss. I receive additional training in
the management of weight problems by regularly attending continuing medical
education events through the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (a group of
over 700 doctors specializing in helping patients with weight problems) and the
Harvard Obesity Course (Last attended course June, 2008). In addition, I enjoy
managing weight-related medical problems including: diabetes, high blood
pressure, high cholesterol, insomnia, depression and anxiety. I particularly enjoy
controlling these problems with healthy lifestyle, and using medications only
when necessary. Often healthy lifestyle can make a big impact! I further recognize
that most physicians do not address weight problems with their patients.
Additionally, I find that many patients are on medications that can contribute to
their weight gain. Why not stack the cards in your favor, so to speak? If there are
alternatives that can help with weight loss or long-term weight maintenance, I will
bring these options to your attention.
Away from the office, I am a Colorado native and enjoy taking advantage of all that
Colorado has to offer. I love the outdoors - running, mountain biking, hiking,
skiing, snow-shoeing, and even play on a Co-ed soccer team. I also enjoy music
and play the cello in the Littleton Symphony Orchestra.
